Ric Flair Rules Out In-Ring Return As He Mocks WWE Star
Ric Flair caused concern when he suggested he could make a return to the ring for one more match but now it seems that won’t be happening.
In an event run under the famous Jim Crockett Promotions banner on July 31st, 2022, Ric Flair wrestled what he said would be his last match. During the bout where he tagged with Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, Flair struggled badly, and later admitted he passed out twice.
However, Ric Flair has since given mixed messages on his wrestling future, seemingly teasing a comeback before distancing himself from the suggestion.
This speculation only increased when he began working with AEW in late 2023 before appearing at Revolution in March 2024 as part of Sting’s retirement match. At the time, there were claims Flair wanted to do more physicality, but his pitches were blocked by management.
During a recent podcast appearance, Ric Flair quipped “Hell yeah I do” when it was suggested he had one more match left in him. And that had people seriously concerned. Some, however, had fun with the suggestion and noted they wanted WWE star Bronson Reed to deliver a Tsunami to the 75-year-old and asked if people really wanted “to watch someone die.”
Ric Flair Not Returning To The Ring
But now Ric Flair has, thankfully, put the suggestion of another match to rest on social media where he couldn’t help but share a dig at Bronson Reed’s comments as well:
No Return To The Ring Ever! Thankful For The Great Health And The Conditioning That Would Allow Me To. @BRONSONISHERE Couldn’t Tsunami Me On His Best Day!

There won’t be any Tsunamis delivered for quite some time as Bronson Reed revealed the true extent of the sickening injury he suffered in WarGames.
