Ric Flair Pushing To Get More Physical In AEW

Ric Flair

Ric Flair is firmly part of the AEW family now but he’s not going to be getting back in the ring even if deep down, that’s what he really wants.

Ric Flair made his surprise AEW debut in October 2023 as Tony Khan brought him in to stand side-by-side with his old rival Sting as The Icon winds down his career.

Flair made his presence felt again at ringside on the Homecoming edition of Dynamite as Sting and Darby Allin picked up a win over The Don Callis Family’s Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs. And it seems that Flair wants to push the boat ever further in the company.

Ric Flair Wants To Get Physical In AEW

Fightful Select has reported that Ric Flair has been pushing to do more physical spots during his time in AEW but he has not been considered for any in-ring performance. This will no doubt put an end to any idea that Flair could be a part of Sting’s retirement match at Revolution.

Ric Flair had his final ever match in July 2022 when he teamed with the now departed AEW star and his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to defeat the team of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.

Sting has picked his opponents for his final match and it looks like that bout was set up on Dynamite as the former WCW World Champion and Allin were confronted by two returning stars to end the show.
