“I Should Be Getting 10% Of Their Goddamn Money” – Ric Flair On Full Gear Match

Ric Flair had some interesting comments following a big tag team match that took place at AEW Full Gear.

It was on July 31st, 2022 when 73-year-old two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair wrestled at an event that was called “Ric Flair’s Last Match” in Nashville. It was Ric’s last chance to perform in front of a big crowd, which saw about 10,000 people in attendance for the tag team match with Flair and his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo beat Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal in the main event.

After the match, there were concerns about how Ric looked and felt during the match. Ric would go on to say that he passed out twice during the match, which is a scary thing for anybody, especially somebody like Flair, who has had some major health issues in the last five years.

At AEW Full Gear this past Saturday, Lethal & Jarrett teamed up again in what was Jarrett’s first match in AEW. They faced off against Darby Allin & Sting, who picked up the win since Sting never loses in AEW.

Flair decided to give his thoughts on the match during a new episode of his To Be The Man podcast with some thoughts on Jarrett especially.

“He got the rub! Him and Jay both! They’ll have them for another main event in a godd*mn pay-per-view on AEW, what do you think? I feel like I should be getting 10% of their godd*mn money.”

Perhaps Flair was being a bit sarcastic with his comments, but as he continued he claimed that Jarrett working with Flair got him a lot of attention.

“It’s the push he got from the Last Match! C’mon! No Last Match with Jeff, no AEW! Are you kidding me? Let’s get serious! He got more PR in that g***amn match than he’s ever gotten! I’m happy for him. Oh, man.”
