Ric Flair Hints At Next AEW Appearance
AEW fans won’t have to wait too long to see Ric Flair on television once again.
Ric Flair has signed a deal with AEW committing him to the company after making his debut as Sting’s gift from Tony Khan.
Sting is winding down his AEW career which will end at Revolution in 2024 and Flair has vowed to walk the last chapter of his rival’s career alongside him. However, besides that it remains unknown what Flair’s role in the company will be but it looks like he’ll be in town when AEW heads to California.
Speaking to Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone Ric Flair confirmed that he’ll be in Ontario, California for the AEW Dynamite before Full Gear takes place in Los Angeles on pay-per-view:
I’ll be in Ontario the Wednesday before, getting warmed up for LA.
Ric Flair Unsure Of His On-Screen Role In AEW
As far as how often he expects to appear on AEW television as part of his deal, that’s not something The Nature Boy can answer:
Those are the kinds of questions I can’t answer. To be honest with you, I don’t know. I just know that I’m excited to be working for them. The reception backstage was over-the-top and that’s all I want. I don’t want to be a politician, I don’t want to do anything. I just want to do what they ask me to do, and do the best job of it I can… and hope they turn me loose [laughs].
Ric Flair also looks set to be on AEW television when the company heads to Charlotte, North Carolina when the company returns to “Flair Country” in early 2024.
