Ric Flair “Glad” Vince McMahon Is Back In WWE

Ric Flair stares down Vince McMahon

Ric Flair says that he’s glad Vince McMahon is back in WWE and wants the Executive Chairman to appear on the 30th anniversary of Raw.

January 10th saw major changes to the landscape of WWE as Stephanie McMahon announced her resignation from the company. Her decision comes mere days after her father Vince McMahon was reinstated to the WWE Board of Directors, and immediately after her announcement, the company issued a press release stating that Vince had been unanimously elected Executive Chairman of the Board.

Rumours have since persisted that WWE is on the verge of being sold to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund and uncertainty is engulfing the company for the time being.

Despite that, one man glad to see Vince McMahon back in the saddle is Ric Flair. Flair explained on his To Be The Man podcast – courtesy of AdFreeShows.com – that he can’t blame McMahon for wanting back in and wants to see him make a public appearance on the 30th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw that Flair has also been invited to:

“I’m personally glad he’s back. I don’t begin to know, There’s only a few people that do know and I’m not one of them. I honestly believe that he lives and breathes the business and he just said to himself, ‘I own all this stuff. It’s mine. I built it. I want back in’, and I don’t blame him.”

“Thirty years of being on TV on Raw. Think about that. Thirty years. I mean, it’s unbelievable. I hope he walks out that door in Philadelphia, busts the door open, stands there, and struts down that aisle and says, ‘I’m back.’ The place would go crazy. I guarantee it. That will be a rating.”
