Ric Flair Gives Health Update After Missing AEW Dynamite
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has given an update on his current health status after he was forced to abandon a planned appearance on AEW Dynamite.
The recent AEW Blood & Guts edition of Dynamite took place in Greensboro, North Carolina, a city synonymous with WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Flair and his old rival, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat, had been advertised to appear on the show, but it was only Steamboat who ended up doing so. That is despite Flair actually showing up.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported on why Flair missed appearing on the show despite actually being in attendance. Meltzer noted that Flair made a brief appearance for the live crowd but then left the building due to being in “a ton of pain” due to a recent rotator cuff tear.
Ric Flair later apologised to fans for having to leave the show due to his injury.
Ric Flair Calls Tony Khan “A Really Great Guy”
Speaking to Casino Beats, Ric Flair was asked about his health after missing Dynamite, and he said he’s probably going to have to get more work done on his shoulder when he has time:
I’m better, I’m doing fine. I’ll probably have to have something done with it, but I have a long weekend ahead of me with two appearances. One in California and one in Chicago. And then next week, I’ll figure out when I have time to go down there and get it looked at. Tony Khan is a really great guy. The guys over in AEW are great. Wrestling is in a good place right now.
Ric Flair has recently explained why he wants John Cena to stay away from WWE after Cena retires from the ring in December.
