Ric Flair Open To Putting His Gear On At The Royal Rumble
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has expressed his willingness to don his gear one last time and potentially compete at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
Ric Flair had previously announced on his To Be The Man podcast, that he will be at the 30th anniversary edition of Raw:
“I’m gonna be there. They didn’t say don’t tell anybody.”
“I’ve been invited and it’s a f**king big deal. Why, because it’s Raw and it’s a big f**king deal. I’m on it, hell yea are you kidding me? 30 years.”
However, reports had suggested that Flair had been invited to the Royal Rumble as well, something that he took issue with on the latest edition of his podcast while noting that he’d be happy to don his gear and walk that aisle one last time in WWE:
“I’m still looking forward to the 30th anniversary. By the way, of course, social media screwed that up, I have not been invited to the Rumble. I am going to San Antonio to sign autographs separately, on the day of the Rumble. I was not invited to the Rumble. However if they want me to put my gear on, like at Last Match, that’s fine.”
Ric Flair had what was billed as the final match of his illustrious wrestling career in July 2022 when he teamed with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to defeat the duo of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.
