Ric Flair Recalls Final Conversation With Hulk Hogan

Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan face off

Ric Flair has weighed in on the controversy still surrounding Hulk Hogan.

Hulk Hogan passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida, on July 24. The WWE Hall of Famer suffered a heart attack after dealing with long-running heart issues.

The subsequent medical report also revealed the star had a history of leukemia, something that hadn’t previously been public knowledge.

During a recent interview, Hulk Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, confirmed that she’s considering taking legal action following the star’s passing. She suggested that any legal proceedings would be related to Hogan’s final surgery.

Daily had previously claimed that Hogan’s phrenic nerve had been “compromised” during the surgery. The nerve impacts a person’s ability to breathe.

Ric Flair Comments On Hulk Hogan Controversy

While appearing on the Glory Daze podcast, Ric Flair discussed his life and career, including his relationship with Hogan. During the conversation, Flair dived into the controversy around Hogan’s death, revealing that he was “fine” the day before.

“Well, I talked to him the day before, and he was fine. Now the whole thing is breaking down; they think that he was taking illegal prescriptions or the doctor was overprescribing. I mean, you never know what to believe anymore. So, I’m just I’m not quoting what I know for a fact, I’m just telling you that if you Google Hogan, his daughter is upset, the family is divided. Nothing worse.”

Flair went on to discuss Hogan’s medical status in the years before his passing, including concerns over the neck surgery her underwent shortly before his passing.

“A lot of people don’t realize, he had 11 back operations. Both hips replaced, both knees replaced, one shoulder replaced — it got infected and caused a heart attack almost while he was under anesthesia with his shoulder.

Now, he was just getting the second of two neck surgeries and they found out he had leukemia. They never should’ve been operating on him with leukemia. That’s just what I’ve been told by doctors that I ask.”

In an earlier interview, Ric Flair said Hulk Hogan’s death had added to his anxiety as he’s five years older than Hogan.
