Ric Flair Calls Out WWE Following Re-Removal From Iconic Intro
World Wrestling Entertainment has once again removed “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair from its opening on their television programming, as well as his signature “Woooo” and he is not happy about it.
Taking to Twitter to point out his exclusion after watching the Crown Jewel event this past Saturday, Ric Flair was hoping that it was some sort of mistake.
Flair posted on Twitter:
“Hoping This Was An Error… Watching The #WWECrownJewel I Couldn’t Help But Notice My Absence From The Opening. Great Show! Tremendous Performances! Congratulations To All The @WWE Superstars! If I Turn Raw On Monday And I’m Not On, I’ll Absolutely Have To Speak On The Matter!”
The former wrestling great was involved in controversy earlier this year after accusations of sexual assault emerged after Vice aired its series “The Dark Side of the Ring.” On the episode “Plane Ride from Hell,” Ric Flair was accused by a female flight attendant of sexual assault while “The Nature Boy” was drunk on the flight, resulting in WWE removing Flair’s image and “wooo” from the opening credits.
It appears to have been removed again but some are saying that it was simply an error by WWE and that the legendary wrestler will be back on the credits on the next episode of RAW.
