Ric Flair Act Exploring New Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame

Ric Flair

There could be another wrestling hall of fame on the horizon with Ric Flair at the centre of it but not how you might expect.

Wrestling is not short of a Hall of Fame or two. The WWE Hall of Fame has become the best known with former WWE Tag Team Champions the latest to be inducted into it in 2025. Promotions such as TNA and ROH also hold their own halls of fame while WCW also operated one when the promotion was running.

The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum was open in Wichita Falls, Texas from 2002 to 2021, the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame operates out of Albany, New York, and the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame is housed in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum in Waterloo, Iowa. But now one more could be on the horizon.

Ric Flair Act To Cost Half A Million Dollars

WRAL News has reported that the North Carolina Senate has enacted a bipartisan bill to investigate the possibility of opening up a new pro wrestling hall of fame in the state. The bill is titled ‘the RIC FLAIR Act’ and will grant $500,000 to the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources to study the feasibility of the new hall of fame. A report is expected from the department in the summer of 2026.

In this instance, RIC FLAIR is an acronym which means ‘An Act to Remember Iconic Combatants through Fostering Learning Awareness and Interest In Rassling.’
