Rhea Ripley Crashes WrestleMania 41 Contract Signing

Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley could not sit back and watch a WrestleMania contract signing take place without getting involved.

The March 3rd edition of WWE Monday Night Raw had a shocking result when IYO SKY defeated Rhea Ripley to win the Women’s World Title in the main event of the show.

It was a controversial title win by Sky since Ripley was preoccupied by the Women’s Elimination Chamber match winner Bianca Belair sitting at ringside watching the match. Ripley was annoyed by Belair being there, so the two women engaged in a shoving match. Sky took advantage of Ripley being distracted and hit Over the Moonsault to claim the coveted title.

That win by Sky means that she will defend the Women’s World Title against Belair at WrestleMania 41.

Since losing her title, Ripley has tried to claim that she deserves a shot at the title because Belair’s involvement cost Ripley the match. Sky also felt disrespected and overlooked by both women as well. That led to Sky slapping Belair on Ripley on the March 10th Raw.

There was a WrestleMania 41 contract signing on WWE Raw in Brussels involving Sky, Belair, and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. Sky said that Belair, Ripley, and no one will disrespect her again because Sky is the Women’s World Champion. Sky said that after WrestleMania, she will still be the Women’s World Champion. Sky signed the contract.

Belair said she had all the respect in the world for Sky, but told Sky to not put her hands on Belair again. Belair said that she’s the EST of WWE and she’ll be the Women’s World Champion. Belair signed the contract. Pearce thanked them for being so professional about this. That’s when Rhea Ripley decided to get involved.

The crowd in Brussels came alive as Ripley said that she was not going to sit back and do nothing about Sky slapping her in the face last week. Ripley got into the ring wondering how Belair could be out here as if nothing happened. Ripley said that Belair had no business being out there in her championship match. Belair and Ripley argued. Belair pushed Sky away. Ripley headbutted Belair, who landed on her back onto the table that was in the ring.

Ripley kicked Sky and Ripley gave Sky a Powerbomb onto Belair on the table. The table did not break.

At that point, Rhea Ripley took matters into her own hands. Ripley picked up the contract and signed her name to the contract. The fans cheered. Ripley left with the contract while Pearce told her to give him back the contract.

Later in the show, Rhea Ripley was shown backstage with Raw GM Adam Pearce. Ripley said put her in the match while Pearce said she couldn’t just do that. Ripley repeated herself by saying that Pearce should put her in the match. Pearce left. Bianca Belair showed up to fight Ripley and Iyo Sky also showed up to fight Ripley. Belair and Sky hit eachother. Ripley fought back to knock Sky and Belair down. That’s when Pearce showed up with referees to break it up.

It has been confirmed by Fightful Select that “the plan has been for a Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair and IYO SKY triple threat at WrestleMania,” which is obvious based on what has played out on television.

WrestleMania 41 takes place on April 19 & 20 in Las Vegas, so WWE has just over one month to officially add Ripley to the Sky-Belair match.
