Rhea Ripley Would Be Lost Without WWE Backstage Figure
Rhea Ripley has praised the work of WWE’s producers.
Away from the glamour of life in front of the cameras is a team of producers working backstage to put matches together and the show on the road.
The likes of Fit Finlay and Tyson Kidd are regularly credited for their work with the women’s division and for helping build it into what it is today. But Rhea Ripley has now heaped praise on two other names who tend to go under the radar.
In a new interview with Robbie and Carly, Ripley praised the work of WWE producers Perry Williams and Jason Jordan. The Aussie star described Jordan as her “number one helper” who’s always on hand if she’s struggling before a big match.
“Jason Jordan and Perry Williams. But, Jason Jordan, he’s always with me every step of the way. Perry definitely was a part of it massively but yeah, JJ, he’s been with me on a lot of different matches and I can always count on him. Every time that I’m going to lose my mind or have a panic attack, he’s always there. So, he’s my number one helper. Petey and JJ.”
Ripley famously suffered a panic attack that left her “violently shaking” just hours before facing Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40. Since then, the star has regularly spoken about her battles with anxiety and nerves ahead of big events.
Rhea Ripley Struggled Through 2024
Speaking elsewhere, Rhea Ripley admitted she’d found life incredibly tough in 2024 while battling two different injuries.
The former Women’s World Champion said she found out a lot about herself while being forced to take a break from the ring. Ripley stated that her struggles were as much mental as they were physical, describing her limited training as “terrible.”
The star will be back in action on the May 12 edition of Raw when she teams with Iyo Sky to face Roxanne Perez and Giulia.
