Rhea Ripley Claims Viral WWE Moment Wasn’t Her Idea

Rhea Ripley had some fun talking about a viral moment from a WWE live event while revealing whose idea it was.

At WWE SummerSlam on August 3rd, Rhea Ripley will be looking to regain the Women’s World Championship that she never lost when she faces Liv Morgan in one of the many big matches at the show.

Earlier this year at a March 23rd live event where Ripley defended her Women’s World Title against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, Rhea Ripley gave Nia Jax a stinkface where she rubbed her butt in Jax’s face while Jax was against the turnbuckle.

The reason it got a lot of attention that made it a viral moment is because Ripley showed off a lot of skin and since she’s in phenomenal shape, her muscular posterior was popular with a lot of WWE fans.

While talking to Chris Van Vliet at a media event ahead of WWE SummerSlam, Ripley was laughing about the moment while also blaming Nia Jax for it, which could be a joke on Ripley’s part.

“Kind of…I think Nia was pretty down for it, though. Nia really wanted that stink face deep down inside. She really, really wanted it [laughs], so I’m gonna say it was Nia’s idea. She gave me those eyes, you know?”

“Yeah, I definitely broke the internet in a positive way and a negative way. People were so excited about it, but then some people were angry about it, and I got attacked for that, which makes no sense because they get excited when other people do it, other females and other females.

“So I think they want to attack me just because it’s me, but whatever. We’ll keep going. I’m still better than you, so shut up [laughs].”

Rhea Ripley Was Criticized For Viral WWE Moment

One woman who didn’t like what Ripley did at that live event was former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, who felt like the stinkface spot was a step back for women being strong models for younger female fans out there.

Rhea Ripley will look to win back the Women’s World Title at SummerSlam on August 3rd in Cleveland. Here’s the advertised lineup.

* Bloodline Rules – Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa

* CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre (Seth “Freakin” Rollins is the special guest referee)

* World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. GUNTHER
