Rhea Ripley Teaming With “Family” In WWE Grudge Match
Rhea Ripley will be teaming up with a “family member” for a big tag team match on SmackDown.
The rivalry between Damian Priest and Aleister Black has been going on for several months on WWE SmackDown.
When Black and Priest had a Falls Count Anywhere Match on the October 10th WWE SmackDown, Black’s wife Zelina got involved by giving her husband a fireball, which Black threw into Priest’s face, and Priest was sent through a table to give Black the win.
Ever since Priest had the fireball thrown in his face, he has been seeking revenge against Black. Due to Zelina’s presence, Priest needed a woman’s help, and now he has it.
In a video that aired on WWE SmackDown in Austin, Damian Priest was featured in a video talking about how Aleister Black has delayed the inevitable. Priest said that you brought in your wife – your family – so now Priest gets to bring in his family.
That’s when Rhea Ripley showed up, saying they had been through hell and back. Ripley said she’s willing to be by his side. Ripley said that Zelina thought she could get under Priest’s skin because all she’s done is sign her death wish. Ripley said that next week on SmackDown, it’s a mixed tag team match, and you’ll find out why nobody survives the Terror Twins.
Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley are not really related as actual family, but they were in The Judgment Day together for a few years, and they like to refer to eachother as “The Terror Twins” since they have a brother-sister kind of relationship and they are close friends.
Later on SmackDown, Aleister Black and his wife, Zelina, were featured in a promo. Black spoke about how Damian Priest stood by people who didn’t stand by him. Black said that he might be everyone’s enemy, but he’s the one person who will give it to you straight. Zelina walked in, saying she’s the succubus that tempts you to remind you of the past. Zelina said that The Judgment Day that you knew is over. Black said if it’s the inferno you want, then Black will guide him through it.
Rhea Ripley And Charlotte Flair Won Together Because They Had Something In Common
At WWE Survivor Series, Rhea Ripley teamed up with AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Iyo Sky to defeat the heel team of Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Becky Lynch, Asuka and Kairi Sane in the Women’s WarGames match. It was a dominant win for Ripley’s team as Lee made Lynch tap out to the Black Widow submission.
After the show, Rhea Ripley spoke about why she was able to work with Charlotte Flair, who was hesitant to join the team because Ripley was already on it.
“The one thing that I know about Charlotte is Charlotte likes to win and she knows that I like to win too. So we had that in common, and then also Charlotte’s been going to therapy. So I know she’s been learning how to cope with her feelings and emotions. So, it definitely helped with both of us going in there.
She had Alexa, I had IYO, helping us out with our emotions and stuff. We just talked it out, and we got to a settling point where we knew that the aim of war games is to come in here and go to war with the other team and not each other, and then hopefully pull off a victory.”
There are three matches officially set for WWE SmackDown on December 12th.
