Rhea Ripley Pays Surprising Tribute To WWE Rival

Rhea Ripley knew her teammate had to win.

Traditionally, Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair have been rivals, but that changed at Survivor Series, despite some initial uncertainty.

When the prospect of teaming with Ripley for the match arrived, Flair walked out of SmackDown, leaving her prospective teammates hanging. However, a week later, the pair reached a truce, and Flair joined the team featuring Ripley, Bliss, Iyo Sky, and finally, AJ Lee.

Fast forward to show time, and Flair tackled Ripley to the mat, making sure she evaded the mist from Asuka, which instead landed on Lash Legend.

Speaking to SportsCenter after the match, Ripley opened up about how and why her relationship with Flair has changed.

“The one thing that I know about Charlotte is Charlotte likes to win and she knows that I like to win too. So we had that in common, and then also Charlotte’s been going to therapy. So I know she’s been learning how to cope with her feelings and emotions. So, it definitely helped with both of us going in there.

She had Alexa, I had IYO, helping us out with our emotions and stuff. We just talked it out, and we got to a settling point where we knew that the aim of war games is to come in here and go to war with the other team and not each other, and then hopefully pull off a victory.”

Rhea Ripley Loves Crazy Iyo Sky

Ripley was also asked about her role in Iyo Sky’s wild leap from the top of the cage inside a trash can. The Aussie star picked up AJ Lee, who handed the can to Sky. Ripley said that the former World Champion always has something up her sleeve, and she was more than ready to help.

“Look. IYO is crazy when it comes to WarGames, and I know that she’s always got something up her sleeve where she is going to jump from a high height and she’s going to land on the other team.

So I knew that she was climbing up for a reason. I could see that AJ was struggling a little bit. Her height disadvantage wasn’t really helping. So I thought I’d just give her a little boost and help her give Io her little trash can and just dish out some little brutality from my IYO SKY. She’s always got something wild up her sleeve.”

As the conversation continued, Rhea Ripley gave her thoughts on Liv Morgan’s surprise comeback to help Dominik Mysterio beat John Cena.
