Rhea Ripley Set For Huge WWE SummerSlam Match

Rhea Ripley is back in a big way in WWE and now she’s had her challenge accepted for a huge SummerSlam match that could be about so much more than championships.

Liv Morgan took out Rhea Ripley shortly after WrestleMania 40 leading to Ripley being forced to vacate her Women’s World Championship. Becky Lynch initially won that title but when Liv Morgan defeated The Man for the gold, her revenge tour was just getting started.

Looking to take even more away from Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan began a relentless pursuit of Dominik Mysterio who has not done much to put Morgan off his scent. On the 8th of July edition of Raw, Morgan and Mysterio teamed up to defeat Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega and the after-match celebrations quickly got heated as it looked like the young star was about to give in and kiss Morgan when Rhea Ripley made her shock return.

Liv Morgan bailed through the crowd as Ripley stormed to the ring and she rebuffed Mysterio’s attempt at a hug, letting him know she was not thrilled about what had been going on.

On Raw in Dayton, Ohio, Rhea Ripley wanted her own revenge as she laid down a huge challenge to Liv Morgan to face her for the Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam on August 3rd. Morgan didn’t come to meet Ripley face-to-face but via the video screen, she defiantly accepted the challenge before Ripley vowed to end Morgan’s career.

Despite getting her title shot, Rhea Ripley’s relationship with Dominik Mysterio remains rocky as she told him in no uncertain terms that she belongs to nobody but Dirty Dom belongs to her. All eyes will surely be on him when Ripley faces Morgan at SummerSlam.
