Rhea Ripley Makes Major Relationship Announcement
Rhea Ripley sent a clear message to her fans about her relationship with Buddy Matthews.
The Eradicator and the AEW star have been a couple for three years. They tied the knot a year ago, about a year after announcing their engagement.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the former Women’s World Champion addressed fans being jealous of her husband. She pointed out that the Dolph Ziggler – “It should have been me!” – meme has particularly stuck with her.
While Rhea Ripley admitted she finds it funny that people try to flirt with her, she announced to her fans that she would never do anything to jeopardize her relationship with Matthews, whom she loves.
I get a lot of people saying that on Twitter, the Dolph Ziggler meme is a massive one. ‘It should have been me!’ It’s just funny to me at this point, because I’m like, I love my husband, and there’s no way that I’m ever going to do anything bad to ruin what we have. But it’s really funny watching people try. [H/T: Insight With Chris Van Vliet]
Rhea Ripley Initially Hated Her Husband
During her chat with Chris Van Vliet, Rhea Ripley stated that her husband, Buddy Matthews, was her favorite wrestler. She disclosed that she used to watch him wrestle back in their home country of Australia before they met.
However, The Eradicator made a surprising admission, revealing that she initially hated her husband after seeing him hit one of her favorite wrestlers back home.
I used to hate him. I think he said this when he was [on Insight]. I hated him. I hated him with a passion because I loved Sway, which was a female wrestler, and he was from Melbourne. He came from the back, and he just punched Sway straight in the face. I was like, sir, how dare you? [H/T: Insight With Chris Van Vliet]
