Rhea Ripley And Iyo Sky React To Main Eventing WWE Evolution
The Women’s World Title will be on the line at WWE Evolution, so the champion Iyo Sky and challenger Rhea Ripley reacted to the news that they will be the main event.
There is a long history between Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky in WWE, going back to their NXT days. The rivalry has continued on the main roster as well, with the two women being heavily featured regularly on Raw as two of the show’s biggest superstars.
On the March 3rd episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Iyo Sky beat Rhea Ripley to win the Women’s World Title. Ripley complained that Bianca Belair distracted her in the match.
At WrestleMania 41, Sky successfully defended the Women’s World Title against Ripley and Belair in a match that many people consider one of the best women’s matches in WWE history. It’s also a contender for WWE Match of the Year.
It’s impossible to deny the chemistry between Sky and Ripley. That’s why it is no surprise that Sky chose Ripley as her opponent at WWE Evolution on July 13th in Atlanta.
During the WWE SmackDown broadcast on July 11th, announcer Wade Barrett confirmed that the Ripley-Sky match will main event Evolution.
Rhea Ripley reacted to the news by sharing a fan video from her NXT days with Sky, who was known as Io Shirai earlier in her career.
