Rhea Ripley Is One Of The Greatest Characters In WWE Says Hall Of Famer

Rhea Ripley holding WWE Women's World Championship

A WWE Hall of Famer has praised the performances of Rhea Ripley for being not just a great in-ring performer, but also an interesting character as well.

Rhea Ripley is a major part of The Judgment Day group that likes to talk about how they run Raw and all of WWE. While “Mami” is not officially the leader of the group that also includes Damian Priest, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh, she has emerged as a voice of reason whenever she appears on screen.

At WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair to become the Smackdown Women’s Champion in a match that many considered to be one of the best women’s matches in WWE history. That women’s championship was renamed the Women’s World Championship, which is a title that Ripley has defended against some of the top women on the Raw brand.

The WWE Crown Jewel PLE in November saw Ripley defend her title against four opponents in one match – Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez & Zoey Stark. At Survivor Series, Ripley beat Stark decisively in a singles match.

While there is no obvious opponent for Ripley at the Royal Rumble, there have been rumors about a potential Ripley-Becky Lynch match at WrestleMania 40 in April.

Mick Foley Praises Rhea Ripley For Being A “Great Character”

During a recent appearance on WWE’s The Bump show, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley praised “Mami” Ripley heavily.

“I was just tuning in to a pull-apart with Nia Jax and Rhea Ripley and I heard 15,000 people chanting, ‘Mami!’ I was like, ‘Now I remember why I love this stuff.’ It’s just great.”

“I’ve been a real big proponent (of Ripley). As high as I had hoped for her, I could’ve never seen this coming. This is one of the great characters of the modern generation.”

Foley also went on to praise The Judgment Day as a group: “I just love it. They bring me happiness.”

In her most recent televised match, Rhea Ripley easily defeated Maxxine Dupri on the December 11th edition of Raw in a non-title match.
