Rhea Ripley Details Terrifying Fan Incident
Rhea Ripley has urged fans to keep their distance.
Unfortunately, 2025 has seen a rise in wrestling ‘fans’ getting far too close to their in-ring idols for comfort.
In early June, an individual was arrested for allegedly stalking Liv Morgan, while Roxanne Perez was sent a series of death threats online. This individual also publicly shared her home address on social media.
This isn’t the first time WWE stars have been faced with such a threat, either. In 2023, Phillip Thomas was sentenced to 15 years in prison and 15 more years’ probation after attempting to kidnap Sonya Deville. Thomas sent the star threatening messages on social media and later turned up at her house with zip ties, duct tape, and a knife.
Total Stranger Visited Rhea Ripley’s House
During a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Rhea Ripley recalled her own scary fan interaction, which saw a mystery woman show up at her house. Thankfully, neither she nor her husband Buddy Matthews, was at home at the time.
“We looked at the Ring camera, and there’s some chick at our door, and I didn’t think anything of it. And I was like, Why does she keep ringing the doorbell and just stand there for eternity? And then we had our Australian friends who live near us, and they came to pick up our mail, and they go, ‘This is for Rhea Ripley. I think it’s fan mail?’
I was like, Oh no, who the hell has my address? That’s just something that people shouldn’t be doing.
That’s kind of like crossing the line. We are normal people outside of work, and we like our privacy. We like to have our normal humanity. But I went back and I watched the Ring doorbell, and this chick was like she just came out of the movie Smile.
I’m sorry if you’re watching this, lady, but you were terrifying. She was scary, she rang the doorbell, she got real close to it and just [smiles creepily].”
Ripley added that had she been at home when the woman was there, she doesn’t know how she would have dealt with the “terrifying” situation.
“If I was home, I wouldn’t know what to do. If I opened the door and she was just standing there, what could have happened? She could have done anything, I don’t know you; you could have attacked me, and I don’t know how she got her car in the gate. We have a gated community, no one lets you in, terrifying.”
Rhea Ripley will be back in action at Night of Champions, where she’ll take on Raquel Rodriguez in a Street Fight.
