Rey Mysterio Introduces New Faction On Smackdown
There’s a new group in WWE that’s led by Rey Mysterio after a backstage segment on Smackdown.
The March 31st edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown aired from Los Angeles prior to the Hall of Fame ceremony featuring Rey Mysterio as the headline name in this year’s HOF.
During a locker room scene, Rey was getting ready for his Hall of Fame speech. Rey was joined in the room by Legado Del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro & Zelina Vega.
Santos Escobar talked about how he didn’t like how disrespectful Dominik was towards Rey with Santos noting that he is a father too. Santos said that they will watch Rey’s back if he needs it if The Judgment Day tries to interfere to help Dominik.
Rey told Legado that he appreciated their support, but he wanted to make this new alliance official. Rey had five t-shirts that he gave to the four Legado members and he had one shirt for himself. They were Latino World Order shirts – LWO. Rey said it’s official – they are the new LWO.
The LWO was a group in World Championship Wrestling about 25 years ago with Rey working there at the time. Eddie Guerrero was the leader of the group that Rey was in the group for a few months until the stable was dropped. It launched in October 1998 and was gone by January 1999, so it really had a short life in WCW.
Rey Mysterio will face his son Dominik at WrestleMania 39 on Saturday, April 1st. The video of the new LWO is below.
