Rey Mysterio Dreaming Of Special WWE Moment

Rey Mysterio would love one more run as a tag team with son Dominik.

The pair became the first Father and Son duo to hold tag team gold in WWE when they lifted the SmackDown Tag Team Championship together after defeating Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode at WrestleMania Backlash on 16th May 2021.

They went hold the titles for 63 days before suffering defeat to The Usos at Money In The Bank 2021.

Dominik Mysterio would go on to shock the wrestling world by betraying his Father and joining the Judgment Day in September 2022 after a shocking turn at WWE Clash Of The Castle in Cardiff, Wales.

Memorably, Father and Son would then embarked upon a bitter personal feud that culminated in a classic 15-minute outing on Night One of WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, with the experience of Rey Mysterio ultimately seeing him through to a famous win.

Despite their differences in recent years, Rey Mysterio has revealed his desire for one last run as a tag team with his 27 year-old son. Speaking during a recent appearance on ‘Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg‘, the former WWE Champion opened up about his dream of teaming again with the villainous ‘Dirty Dom’:

“That’s something that as a father, they always would love to have with their kids. To be able to reconnect. And end of how you started on the good side. So, I don’t know if that’s going to happen. But over the years, people change. Sometimes for good, sometimes for bad.

Hopefully, one day Dom can see the bright side of being on the Mysterios’ side. And just being family overall. But I think that’s going to be very hard. I’m dreaming. I am just dreaming.”

Rey Mysterio Shown Huge Respect By WWE Veteran

Rey Mysterio is one of the most beloved Superstars in professional wrestling having captured countless titles around the globe during a Hall Of Fame career that has spanned over three decades.
