Rey Mysterio Thinks Dominik Will Change When He Has Kids
Rey Mysterio will be living out every father of a tearaway son’s dream at WrestleMania 39 when he gets the chance to right several wrongs as he fights his son, Dominik Mysterio.
The new WWE Hall of Famer had steadfastly refused to fight his son despite the younger Mysterio’s antagonising ways but that changed when Dominik chose to get in his mother’s face recently. The former WWE Champion had seen enough and knocked his son to the ground before accepting his WrestleMania challenge.
At the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, Dominik Mysterio and his Judgment Day partners Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest walked out before Rey’s speech as the bad blood looks far from being settled.
Speaking on the After The Bell podcast, Rey Mysterio addressed his issues with Dominik and thinks things will change when he becomes a father:
“My wife and I have conversations all the time about his growth and how his behavior has changed. She would probably know Dominik more than I would because of so many days of being away on the road and her being the mother and father at the same time. Dominik, from day one, was a momma’s boy. He was always attached to my wife.
“Anytime that Dominik has done something in the past that has hurt my wife, I always tell her… he’s gonna understand sooner or later. I said, ‘Things are really gonna change the day that he becomes a father and really understands the position that we’re both in.’, my wife and I.
” I said ‘Until then, he’s gonna be doing stupid things all the time, even though he’s 25 years old. Wait till he becomes a father, his life is gonna change, just like it changed our lives.’”
Rey Mysterio has found a new family on SmackDown recently in Legado del Fantasma and he recently introduced them into a fondly-remembered revived faction.
