Rey Mysterio gave some advice to a talented wrestler about toning down moves a bit to allow for a longer, more successful career as a pro wrestler.

When it comes to wrestling an exciting, fast-paced style of pro wrestling, Rey Mysterio’s name immediately comes up. After all, Rey was wowing audiences in the mid-to-late 1990s in Mexico, ECW and WCW when he was still in his early 20s.

For the past 20 years, the WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has earned the reputation as the greatest masked wrestler perhaps of all-time and re-defined the art of lucha libre. Rey Mysterio is the smallest WWE World Champion of all time, the smallest Royal Rumble winner and now he’s currently feuding with his own son Dominik, who Rey beat at WrestleMania 39.

On the March 22nd edition of AEW Dynamite, AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo had an incredible main event match with Kenny Omega. The match earned a lot of praise from fans and critics around the world. What’s amazing about Vikingo is that he’s only 25 years old and he’s performing at such a high level already.

Recently on his Keeping It 100 podcast, Konnan revealed that he has given advice to Vikingo and so has Rey Mysterio.

“Not only have I told him, I had Rey Mysterio tell him. He already needs a knee operation and Rey has had 14, so I told him to talk to Rey and Rey’s giving him very good advice because I want that guy to last. He’s talented and he’s a good kid.”

Despite 14 knee surgeries, Rey Mysterio is still performing at an extremely high level at 48 years old in WWE. While he does plan to retire within a couple of years, he continues to amaze audiences all around the world.
