Rey Mysterio Addresses Aalyah’s Wrestling Future After Training At WWE PC

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio has confirmed that his daughter has been desperate to start training.

Although he’s been out of action since April, Rey Mysterio has been keeping busy. Aside from making several appearances on-screen, he’s been working hard behind the scenes to rehab the torn groin that’s been keeping him on the sidelines.

During an appearance on the Club 520 podcast, Mysterio discussed his legendary career and his current quest to get back to full fitness after undergoing groin surgery. Interestingly, while confirming that he’s been working out at the Performance Center to get cleared, he said that his daughter Aalyah has taken her first steps in the ring.

Aalyah has appeared on WWE television in the past, but has never wrestled.

“My daughter, I just went out to the Performance Center in Orlando, the WWE Performance Center, and I had to go back in the ring, try to get cleared from an injury.

My daughter had always had the curiosity to step in the ring, so she goes ‘When are you taking me?’ For about a year and a half, so I said, ‘Okay, I’m going to Orlando, let’s go’, she went up with me, she jumped in the ring, and she loved it, man.

She was hitting the ropes, rolling. I know you said the tumble. She was doing all that, like the generic stuff, basic stuff, beginner stuff. But, yeah, the ring brings it on another level, man. It’s crazy, especially the ropes. When you hit those ropes, she was all bruised from her back and shoulders.”

Rey Mysterio Proud Of Dominik’s Success

In the same interview, Rey Mysterio praised Dominik Mysterio’s continued rise through WWE. Dominik recently captured the Mega Championship at Worlds Collide, adding the title to the Intercontinental Championship he already holds.

The legend had previously said that he’d “tip his mask twice” to Dominik if he beat El Hijo Del Vikingo for the championship.

Rey also revealed that it was his wife, Angie, who first spotted Dominik’s potential as a heel.

One person especially delighted by Dominik Mysterio’s latest victory was Liv Morgan. The former Women’s World Champion might still be out of action with a major shoulder injury, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t been keeping a keen eye on “Daddy Dom.”
