Rey Fenix Breaks Silence On Penta Joining WWE
There’s a wrestling war going on but that hasn’t stopped several AEW stars publicly commenting on Penta’s long-awaited WWE debut.
Penta disappeared from AEW in the summer of 2024 alongside his brother Rey Fenix as it soon became clear that their future lay elsewhere. Penta denied talking to WWE while under AEW contract but it seems a deal was quick to be done regardless as his debut was barely disguised and teased for weeks before he showed up on the January 13 edition of Raw.
Penta defeated Chad Gable on his WWE debut as a new era of ‘cero miedo’ begins in the company. Rey Fenix will have to wait to join his brother as it is believed AEW has added time to his contract as a result of several injuries. It is unknown when he will be a free agent but Rey Fenix has hit out at his inhumane treatment by the company.
So while there might be some ill-feeling between Penta, Fenix, WWE, and AEW over the situation, Fenix had to share a message of support for his brother.
Rey Fenix Proud Of Penta In WWE
Taking to social media, Rey Fenix sent an emotional message to his brother where he spoke of his love and pride for Penta:
Felicidades carnal Sin dudarlo MI LUCHADOR FAVORITO! Te mereces todo lo mejor por todo lo que has trabajado, el LUCHADOR #1. Soy muy orgulloso de ser tu hermano y ver como has logrado todos tus sueños, TE AMO y [Cero] MIEDO.
Congratulations bro Without a doubt MY FAVORITE FIGHTER! You deserve all the best for all you’ve worked for, the #1 FIGHTER. I am very proud to be your brother and see how you have achieved all your dreams, I LOVE YOU and [Zero] FEAR. (translation by Google)
