A recently returned WWE Superstar has been described as a “heat magnet” in a new report, suggesting that is why they were released by the company in the first place.

Less than a year after being released by WWE, Hit Row made their surprise return to the company when they appeared on Friday Night SmackDown. The trio of Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis, B-Fab, and Top Dolla made their return with Top Dolla and Adonis making quick work of local talent in a tag team contest.

The Hit Row group previously included Isaiah “Swerve” Scott but he will not be returning to the company as he is now better known as Swerve Strickland – one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions along with Keith Lee.

With WWE under the control of Triple H, several returns have already taking place including those of Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Dexter Lumis. Discussing Hit Row’s return on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez explained why Top Dolla coming back to the company might have been a surprise to some:

“What I heard was – and I did not hear this from one person, this was a lot of people – it’s not really a secret and I think it was talked about when they were released. This Top Dolla was a heat magnet dude, he was a heat magnet. And the way it was described to me was, he knows the right people to not be a heat magnet with and Triple H was one of them.”

“When people talked to Triple H about Top Dolla, Triple H was like ‘he’s cool to me’ so he pushed him and did all the stuff they did and there were a lot of people who really didn’t like Top Dolla so he ended up being released and now he’s coming back.”
