Recently-Returned WWE Star Reportedly Set For Major Push

Triple H WWE WrestleMania

Aleister Black has gotten WWE management’s attention.

Earlier this year, Aleister Black jumped ship from AEW to WWE. This marks his second run in the Stamford-based company since 2021. A report suggests that he has caught the eye of the top brass and will be pushed into the main event scene in the coming months.

According to PWInsider, momentum is building behind Aleister Black within WWE’s creative team. He has received strong internal support to elevate him into the main event picture on the Blue Brand. Backstage conversations have intensified around giving Black and significant push, much like the one Damian Priest received years ago.

Since returning to WWE in May, Black has remained undefeated in singles competition and has been integrated into key storylines. WWE officials are reportedly impressed with both his in-ring performances and his rising merchandise sales.

The WWE King Of The Ring Tournament Will Culminate At Night Of Champions

Aleister Black was a part of the King Of The Ring tournament. He was pitted against Randy Orton, Carmelo Hayes and LA Knight in the first round. Unfortunately for Black, he lost the match when Randy Orton pinned LA Knight for the win.

Since his victory, Randy Orton has progressed to the finals of the tournament after defeating Sami Zayn. He will face Cody Rhodes in the finals. Rhodes reached the finals by first beating Andrade, Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura in a Fatal Fourway Match. The American Nightmare later beat Jey Uso in the semi-finals earlier this week on RAW.

It looks like the WWE Universe will be in for a treat when the two former Legacy members clash at Night of Champions this weekend. Orton will be content that he is one step closer to what he had wished for when he was on the SummerSlam Kickoff Show.
