Retiring 55-Year-Old Star To Face AEW Star In Final Match
One wrestling star is set to hang up their boots against a former AEW World Champion.
Retirement seems to have been on a few people’s minds in recent weeks, with a former WWE Universal Champion apparently stepping away from the wrestling world, and a 31-year veteran also confirmed that they were now retired from the ring.
Now, it’s been announced that a 55-year-old wrestling star who has spent most of their career on the independent scene will be hanging up their boots after one last match.
Arizona-based promotion Impact Zone Wrestling (IZW) announced on their Facebook page that former AEW World Heavyweight Champion Samoa Joe will be making an appearance at their “Long Live The King” event as the final opponent of Navajo Warrior.
The event will take place on November 8th at the Bulls Shooters Phoenix in Arizona. Their announcement read:

Samoa Joe In Action At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door
At the Zero Hour pre-show for Forbidden Door, Samoa Joe teamed with his Opps teammates Katsuyori Shibata and Powrhouse Hobbs to successfully defend the AEW Trios Title against Bullet Club War Dogs’ trio of Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney, and Robbie X.
Joe returned with The Opps at the end of the night as they tried to save Will Ospreay from the sick attack taking place at the hands of Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. The Death Riders pair dropped Ospreay on his injured neck several times before crushing a chair around it. Will Ospreay was then stretchered out of the arena and looks to be set for a long layoff from AEW.
