Report: The “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Podcast Expected to Return to the WWE Network
The Stone Cold Podcast may soon be returning to the WWE Network. According to @Wrestlevotes the plan is for the podcast to return to the network sometime in the first half of 2020 if not before. The podcast is reportedly going to keep the same format, of Austin interviewing different WWE superstars. The plan is reportedly to change the podcast to a different name before it airs.
Hearing WWE is planning on bringing back the Stone Cold Podcast to the WWE Network in the near future. Show is scheduled to have a brand new name, but same concept – Austin interviewing top stars. I’m told it should launch within the first quarter of 2020, if not sooner.

What may be most interesting about this news is that the plan reportedly is for the Podcast to air on the WWE Network and not the new WWE Podcast Network that will be launching soon. The WWE Podcast Network is a partnership with Endeavor audio and it will be airing its first show called After the Bell hosted by Corey Graves on October 30. Triple H has already been announced as the guest for that first show.
The Stone Cold Podcast previously aired on the WWE Network in 2014 and featured interviews with people such as Vince McMahon, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Dean Ambrose and many more. The Austin interview with Ambrose in August 2016 didn’t go well at all and that was the end of it until now. All of those interviews are still available on-demand on the WWE Network.
Austin presently hosts his podcast The Steve Austin Show on PodcastOne.
Matt’s Musings: The WWE starting a new podcast network, but not putting a podcast featuring one of their biggest stars of all time on it, makes little to no sense although that’s probably because Austin has a deal already. However, seeing more of Steve Austin, even if it is behind a microphone and not inside a ring is always a good thing for WWE fans.
