Report Reveals Injury Suffered By Adam Cole

Adam Cole announces hiatus at AEW All In

Adam Cole is out of action.

In the hours before AEW All In, it was revealed that Adam Cole’s TNT Championship defence against Kyle Fletcher was off. Not only that, Cole was vacating the title.

With Cole out, a Four-Way Match involving Fletcher, Daniel Garcia, Sammy Guevara, and Dustin Rhodes was set up to determine a new champion.

However, before that match got underway, Cole came out to the ring to address his future and formally vacate the TNT Championship. Although he said he didn’t want to announce his retirement, he emotionally admitted that his career could be over.

A later report suggested that Adam Cole had suffered the unspecified injury on Collision while teaming with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong.

Adam Cole Forced Into Hiatus

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Cole is dealing with “concussion issues. It’s believed he wasn’t feeling well in the early hours of Saturday morning, and the decision was taken to pull him from All In.

The scene was reportedly “very emotional” backstage when it became clear that Cole would be stepping away. This report reiterated earlier claims that Cole suffered the injury earlier in the week.

Cole previously suffered two concussions in quick succession in late May and early June 2022 and didn’t return to the ring until early 2023. During this period, there were very real fears that he’d never wrestle again.
