Report: Emma Returning To WWE Very Soon

WWE Superstar Emma suffered a back injury at a WWE live event on May 12 of this year. She ended up rupturing a disk in her back and this required her to have surgery, which went well.

For those who do not have physically strenuous professions, they can usually return from this surgery anywhere from 1 – 2 months. However, this is clearly not the case for Emma. Her timetable for return was up in the air as it was ranging anywhere from several months to possibly a year.

PWInsider recently reported that Emma was backstage during this week’s episode of Raw from Baltimore, Maryland. They are also reporting that Emma is scheduled to be on the road with WWE this coming week. This means she will likely be returning to WWE television very soon.

Mark’s reaction: Emma suffered her injury just as her NXT partner Dana Brooke was moved to the main roster. The pairing looked like they were picking up where they left off in NXT as they attacked Becky Lynch and seemed to be starting a feud with Lynch. With that in mind, it should be interesting to see which brand Emma ends up on. If Emma goes to Smackdown, she can continue her feud with Becky Lynch and challenge for the Smackdown Women’s Title. If she goes to Raw, maybe she gets paired with Dana Brooke again as it looks like Brooke and Charlotte will be splitting soon if they aren’t split already after Brooke slapped Charlotte on Monday’s episode of Raw.

It should be noted that Emma’s boyfriend Zack Ryder is on Smackdown, so she may be on that show. If they broke up then maybe Raw makes more sense. Who knows? With Paige coming back shortly to Raw, both of them can add depth to the women’s division in WWE.
