Potential Replacement for Injured Seth Rollins at WWE SummerSlam

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins may have been dealt a major blow just weeks before one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.

During WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia, Rollins had a match against LA Knight in a much-anticipated bout. But things took an unexpected turn when Rollins appeared to land awkwardly on his knee.

Despite visibly struggling to stay on his feet, The Visionary attempted to power through the match. But Knight was able to capitalize on his injury and hit the BFT to pick up the win. During the commercial break, Rollins was reportedly helped to the back by WWE’s medical team, with clear concern on their faces.

Rollins has a long and well-documented history of knee injuries. Most notably, he tore his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus in 2015 during a match against Kane, which kept him out of action for over six months. Since then, his knees have often been a lingering concern, with fans and insiders alike worried about long-term damage.

Now, just weeks before SummerSlam, questions are swirling about whether Seth Rollins will be cleared in time. WWE has yet to release an official statement on the severity of the injury, but speculation has already begun about who could step into his spot if he’s sidelined.

Bron Breakker Could Replace Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, Says Wrestling Personality

On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, wrestling personality and radio host Sam Roberts floated an interesting possibility, stating that Bron Breakker could step in to fill Rollins’ shoes at SummerSlam.

“If we don’t have Seth Rollins for SummerSlam, I would think, I mean, you know what? You could do Roman Reigns vs. Bron Breakker at SummerSlam, or maybe you could have Roman Reigns return at SummerSlam,” Roberts said. [H/T Sportskeeda]

Breakker, one of WWE’s fastest-rising stars, has already proven he can hang with top-tier talent. And given Bron Breakker’s alliance with Seth Rollins as part of his faction, he could be the natural choice to step up and fill the void if Mr. Money in the Bank is officially ruled out of SummerSlam.
