“Remember That Guy?” – Miro Pokes Fun At AEW Absence

Miro

Former TNT Champion Miro has seemingly joked at his own expense as he takes a shot at his prolonged absence from AEW.

Miro made his AEW debut to much fanfare in September 2020 when he emerged as Kip Sabian’s “best man.” After a few months of teaming with Sabian, The Bulgarian Brute came into his own as The Redeemer and he captured the TNT Championship from Darby Allin with a dominant display on the May 12th, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite.

However, despite being in AEW for over two years, the man once known as ‘God’s favourite champion’ has only actually competed in 29 matches for the company. Only four of those matches have taken place in 2022 with the star defeating Johnny Elite and Ethan Page on episodes of Dynamite before losing in his quest to become All-Atlantic Champion at Forbidden Door.

The last time Miro appeared in an AEW ring was at All Out when he teamed with Darby Allin and Sting to defeat The House of Black.

Taking to social media, Miro responded to a fan who shared a promotional video of the star with his tongue firmly in his cheek as he asked “Remember that guy?”

The former WWE United States Champion’s wife Lana – now best known as CJ Perry – recently discussed her husband’s absence and claimed that AEW President and CEO Tony Khan has his favourites.
