Released WWE Star Rules Out Retirement
One recently released WWE star has indicated that they have no plans to retire from the ring.
Braun Strowman was the biggest WWE name released on May 2, with main roster stars such as Dakota Kai and Shayna Baszler also let go by the company.
A number of NXT names were also released at the same time, with the likes of Cora Jade, Dani Palmer, Gallus, and Jakara Jackson now looking to continue their careers elsewhere. Cora Jade wasted no time in revealing her new ring name, as NXT talent only have to wait 30 days before they can work elsewhere.
It later emerged that Shotzi’s WWE contract would not be renewed, essentially bringing her time in the company to an end as well.
While question marks might remain over what this latest crop of ex-WWE stars will be doing going forward, retirement isn’t in the works for one of them.
Jakara Jackson To Keep Wrestling Despite WWE Exit
Speaking in a YouTube video where she addresses her release, Jakara Jackson noted she’s looking at life outside the ring but has no plans to retire from wrestling:
Yes, I definitely want to continue wrestling. I also want to dabble in acting, the sky’s the limit at this point.
I want to do a lot of things, but wrestling, I’m definitely going to continue. You will be seeing me (again), so keep your eyes peeled and stay tuned because the transformation is going to be something serious.
Jakara Jackson will be remembered for her time in WWE as part of the Meta-Four group alongside Lash Legend, Oro Mensah, and Noam Dar. The group had an amicable split on NXT following Noam Dar’s return to WWE after a long injury layoff, which many felt set the table for the company letting some of the group go.
