Released WWE Star Was Missed On Raw As Faction Ran Wild

One former faction ran wild on WWE Raw despite no longer being together, but their most important member was very much missed.

After almost three years together, it was recently reported that WWE had quietly disbanded the Damage CTRL faction. Injury had kept Asuka out of action for well over a year, and it was during that absence that Dakota Kai was released from her WWE contract.

Asuka returned to WWE, claiming a win to move on to the semi-final of the WWE Queen of the Ring tournament. But the Empress of Tomorrow wasn’t the only Damage CTRL member making waves on the June 16th edition of Raw.

Kairi Sane picked up a victory by forfeit after a serious injury to Liv Morgan caused their match to be abandoned. Women’s World Champion IYO SKY appeared on the show, confronting Morgan before her ill-fated match as a feud between those two women looked set to heat up.

Bayley Missing Dakota Kai In WWE

Bayley had a face-to-face with Becky Lynch, setting up a future match between the pair. The Role Model decked the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion after Lynch attempted a cheap shot.

While no longer together, WWE fans noticed Damage CTRL all over the show. However, taking to social media, Bayley noted that the “most important” member of the group was missing — a tribute to Dakota Kai.
