Indi Hartwell has broken her silence after being released by WWE.

The release of the popular former NXT Women’s Champion on 1st November came as a surprise to many, with the 28 year-old often featuring on WWE television in recent months.

Hartwell’s most recent appearance came during a taped edition of SmackDown on 2nd November, one day after news of her release had become public.

The unexpected release came alongside that of Tegan Nox, whilst Baron Corbin will also depart WWE after the company opted not to renew the former WWE United States Champion’s contract.

The Australian star took to Instagram to share her reaction to the news, revealing gratitude for the opportunities received during a five-year stint with WWE:

“I got to live out a childhood dream for the last 5 years and I’m so grateful!

I’m just a girl from Australia who never took naur for an answer and made her dreams a reality. It all started with a match in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center and fittingly, ends there too.

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
