Regime Change In TNA Not Behind Popular Tag Team’s Return

A popular tag team has returned to TNA, but it seems the major changes in management were not the reason why now was the right time for a comeback.

TNA has been through several changes at the top of the company ever since Scott D’Amore was fired as president despite spearheading the successful rebrand from Impact Wrestling.

More recently, in March, it was announced that TNA Wrestling had fired several members of staff including Gail Kim. According to the company, Ariel Shnerner, Rob Kligman, and Michael Shewchenko were also given their marching orders. In a statement issued to the media, Anthem Sports Group President Carlos Silva put the departures down to restructuring.

But despite some suggestion otherwise, that restructuring was not behind The IInspiration’s shock return to TNA.

Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay – known to WWE fans as The IIconics – made their surprise return to TNA at Against All Odds as they apparently set their sights on the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship.

Clarification On The IInspiration’s TNA Return

Fightful Select has offered more insight into the Australian stars’ new deals, which are said to be for less than a year. Originally, a TNA source indicated that regime changes might have led to their return, but that is not the case. It was clarified that both Lee and McKay had good relationships with previous management, with a particular focus on Gail Kim.

It was also said that both stars took time away from the ring to build their families and were now in a position where they could return to the ring for TNA.
