Recent WWE Signings Earning Praise Backstage

Triple H WWE

Two new WWE signings are flying high.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have made a big splash both on-screen and backstage since signing with WWE.

The pair known as the Motor City Machine Guns made their debut on October 18th, and became the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles a week later. On the same episode of SmackDown, they then beat Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline to win the gold.

They made the first successful defence of their titles on November 8t h against A-Town Down Under.

During a recent edition of WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, it was reported that MCMG have already endeared themselves to the locker room.

“We are told the Motor City Machine Guns, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, have endeared themselves to the SmackDown locker room in the short time they’ve been a part of the company. We’ve heard from multiple sources how well-liked, how approachable, and communicative they’ve been, and what an asset they are turning out to be. A source said it feels like they’ve been here for years, which is a credit to those two in general.

TC, your thoughts on two veterans, The Motor City Machine Guns, coming into a locker room like the WWE and being so well received?

I mean, we’ve heard this now from, I gotta say, two or three different sources who said that they think the world of the Motor City Machine Guns so good on them.”

Motor City Machine Guns To Defend WWE Tag Team Titles

It’s been announced that the Motor City Machine Guns will make the next defence of their WWE Tag Team Titles on November 15th against the Street Profits. While the match is just another title bout for Shelley and Sabin, things are much different for the Profits.

Montez Ford has described the match as “championship or bust” while Angelo Dawkins said there can be no excuses. The storyline is playing into recent comments from Ford where he admitted he was frustrated by his current role in WWE and a relative lack of success in recent years.
