Recent AEW Departure Could Have New Wrestling Home
Former AEW producer Jimmy Jacobs appears to have found a new home.
Jacobs joined AEW in June 2023 following a six-year stint in TNA and spent a year with the company, also operating in a creative capacity, before departing on amicable terms in early October with sources suggesting he was suffering from burn out.
However, a recent report from PWInsider revealed that Jacobs was backstage at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling’s debut event, Forged In Excellence, on 19th October. The show emanated from St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario and aired on TrillerTV
The card included a tables match between Bully Ray and Raj Dhesi, formerly known as Jinder Mahal in WWE and an AEW International Championship eliminator match between Konosuke Takeshita and Mike Bailey.
Absent AEW Star Still Cannot Appear For Company
One top AEW star who does wish to appear for the company again is former AEW Women’s World Champion, Riho.
The Tokyo-born star has been absent from AEW television since suffering a broken arm in a bout with Lady Frost on the 6th July edition of Collision.
The star recently revealed that she was now medically cleared to compete, however a return date is currently uncertain due to issues securing a visa to work in the United States.
