Real Reason Missing AEW Star Is Not Expected Back
It seems one AEW star might never be back in the company, as they simply did not impress during their short stint there.
Kamille hasn’t been seen on AEW television since being attacked by Mercedes Mone back in November 2024.
Since then, there’s been a great deal of speculation around her future, with some reports suggesting she may never return to the company. This is despite her only making her debut in July 2024.
Away from the ring, Kamille recently starred in “Queen of the Ring,” and during the media tour, refused to comment on her AEW future with a co-star, joking that she wouldn’t be answering any questions. This was followed by a report after Revolution early in 2025 that the former NWA Women’s Champion had become “persona non grata in AEW.”
More recently, Kamille has been filming American Gladiators, but now that it’s finished, it’s still no reason to expect her back in AEW.
Kamille Not Expected Back In AEW
Asked if Kamille should be expected back in AEW now that American Gladiators has finished filming, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that it is unlikely to be the case:
I do not expect her. She did not do well while she was there. That’s your answer; if she had done well, she’d have lasted longer.
AEW has been embroiled in more controversy after Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize opted out of Collision after finding out their planned match with Anna Jay and Tay Melo was only going to last three minutes.
Kamille is one of many AEW stars not seen in months, leading to questions about their future. Chris Jericho has been widely tipped to return to WWE when his deal expires at the end of 2025. Britt Baker, Keith Lee, Hikaru Shida, and Billy Gunn are among those whose futures remain uncertain.
