Reason For Issues At Cody Rhodes WWE Appearance Revealed
More details have come to light on a chaotic Cody Rhodes autograph signing.
WWE was a huge hit at FanaticsFest in New York City, but on day three, not everything went quite to plan. Cody Rhodes was one of the biggest names in attendance, but there appeared to be a great deal of disorganisation around his (and other) autograph signings.
It was reported by PWInsider that some of the sessions were oversold, and ran long, meaning stars were pulled away to make other appearances at the event. It was noted that the issues weren’t the fault of WWE or its Superstars, but instead had to do with FanaticsFest. This led to fans being offered refunds after missing out.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes missed an appearance at the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson press conference as a result of the issues. It was reported that Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin personally requested that Rhodes appear, but the press conference came and went without him.
In the end, Rhodes had to leave the event to ensure he could make a flight back to Florida to wrestle at a live event in Fort, Myers.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later reiterated that the issues weren’t the fault of Rhodes, despite comments to the contrary on social media.
A clarification on the issues at Fanatics Fest from WWE : The system went down during Cody’s session. Cody had a strict departure time to make the house show in Fort Myers. Fans who didn’t get a photo can get refunds. They reiterated it wasn’t Cody’s fault.
Cody Rhodes Happy To Share The Spotlight
During his appearance, Cody Rhodes discussed WWE’s incredible popularity and what it means for those involved. Rhodes credited much of the explosion in popularity to Roman Reigns and The Bloodline while dismissing the idea the pair can’t co-exist.
The star said he’s happy to share the spotlight with Reigns and every other Superstar on Raw and SmackDown.
