Logan Paul laid out Jey Uso, but not in front of Netflix viewers and it seems WWE had a reason why that angle never made air.

Jey Uso captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41, and the challengers are lining up for him. Logan Paul and Uso exchanged attacks on the April 28 edition of Raw, and when Raw came to Omaha, someone else was lying in wait for the champion.

Paul Heyman talked Jey Uso into defending his gold against Seth Rollins and that’s exactly what happened in the night’s main event. However, chaos ensued as Bron Breakker, CM Punk, and Sami Zayn all got involved in the match. After the show went off the air, Jey Uso was greeting fans when he was sucker punched by Logan Paul who quicky made a hasty retreat.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spelt out exactly why WWE decided to save the angle between Paul and Uso for after the show had gone off the air:

I was really surprised that the shot the angle after the show went off the air, and it was by design with the idea of we’re gonna push it on social media. I don’t know what your TV is for but that was the mentality to surprise people with an angle after the show went off the air.

Triple H reposted the segment on social media and seemed content that the angle had not been seen by Netflix viewers as he wrote, “The show never ends…”
