Brock Lesnar is set to return to the WWE ring for the first time in three years to fight John Cena at Wrestlepalooza.

Earlier this year, the Leader of the Cenation embarked on his retirement tour. It saw him face several former rivals, including Randy Orton, CM Punk, and R-Truth.

Another past rival of Cena, The Beast Incarnate, returned after three years at SummerSlam to take out The Never Seen 17 after the latter lost the Undisputed WWE Champion to Cody Rhodes.

The two wrestling legends are now scheduled to go head-to-head for the first time in 11 years.

Ex-WWE Star Thinks John Cena Will Overcome Brock Lesnar At Wrestlepalooza

On the latest episode of the Rebooked podcast, former WWE Superstar Matthew Rehwoldt (FKA Aiden English) addressed the highly anticipated clash between John Cena and Brock Lesnar.

The current TNA color commentator predicted that the 17-time world champion will emerge victorious this Saturday in Indianapolis. Meanwhile, he claimed the real reason WWE booked the match was to have Cena vanquish an opponent that he had struggled against throughout his career.

I think this is vanquishing an opponent Cena’s always had a hard time beating thoroughout his illustrious career. Of course, the infamous Suplex City was invented at the expense of John Cena, once upon a time, stuff like that. So, this is just a marquee match. There’s no story like laid out.

I mean, literally just kind of popped up a couple weeks ago after SummerSlam, and they haven’t even been in the same ring together. So, just outside of assaulting John’s little brother, Ron, on SmackDown, there really hasn’t too much personal here. And, yeah, I think it’s just a tentpole match on the retirement tour. John Cena can finally vanquish The Beast he’s had a very very difficult time vanquishing in the past. [13:38 onwards]
