Real Reason For Vicious Seth Rollins Attack On WWE Raw

Seth Rollins splashed by Bronson Reed

Seth Rollins was brutally attacked by Bronson Reed on WWE Raw and now it seems the real reason for that assault has been revealed.

On Raw in Baltimore, CM Punk and Seth Rollins came face-to-face as the bad blood between those two stars looked to finally explode. However, Drew McIntyre is clearly not done playing with Punk despite beating him at SummerSlam and he appeared in the crowd, flaunting the bracelet he took from Punk baring Punk’s wife and dog’s name.

As Punk took off to try and confront McIntyre, Seth Rollins was left alone in the ring but not for long. Bronson Reed has expressed his frustrations at his current position in the company and looked to carve out a path to the top as he laid out Rollins in a vicious fashion.

Reed nailed Rollins with a Death Valley Driver and a senton before heading up to the top rope and nailing Rollins with six Tsunamis leaving him laid out and spitting up blood.

Seth Rollins Written Off WWE TV

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer gave some insight into why WWE had Rollins laid out so brutally and also noted that Dakota Kai is also suffering from an injury after she was attacked backstage on the show:

It was done for injury reasons. I don’t know how serious. I asked if those were storyline covers for injuries, and I was told they both were.

But Seth is not a bad situation like Seth is cleared. He could wrestle, but, you know, he’s banged up, and so it was a good time for him to take time off and do this. So I don’t know if he’ll be back for the pay-per-view against Bronson Reed. Obviously, he’s going to wrestle Bronson Reed.

Seth Rollins has had a limited in-ring 2024 after suffering a knee injury early in the year. Since that injury that occurred in January, Rollins has only competed in four televised matches – two of which were on consecutive nights at WrestleMania 40.

WWE’s next premium live event will be Bash In Berlin which takes place on August 31st in Berlin, Germany. The only bout confirmed for that show so far is Gunther defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton.
