Real Reason For Samantha Irvin’s Shock WWE Exit

Samantha Irvin left WWE fans stunned when she announced she was leaving the company and now the reason for her exit has seemingly been revealed.

Samantha Irvin joined WWE in 2021 and quickly worked her way up the ranks as a ring announcer joining SmackDown in early 2022 before latterly moving to Raw.

Irvin’s style was a huge hit with fans as her ring introductions for the likes of Chelsea Green and Roman Reigns gave their presence a whole other dimension.

Perhaps that is why wrestling fans were left stunned when Samantha Irvin announced her exit from WWE just hours before the 21st of October edition of Raw went on the air.

Samantha Irvin Pursuing Music Career

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Irvin left the company as she wished to pursue other opportunities:

She’s actually been thinking about (leaving WWE) for a year.

She wants to be a singer – she is a singer, she also plays the flute and wants to become more involved in her music. It’s not about – it was just something that she’d been talking about for a long, long time and finally pulled the trigger on it, that’s about it really.

Meltzer also noted that while nothing is ever 100% there are currently no plans for Irvin to make a jump to AEW in the near future and that her departure was all her decision:

She left on her own. It was something she had been considering, she didn’t grow up a wrestling person, she grew up a musical person and that was her passion. So she’s trying to follow her passion.

Irvin’s fiancé Ricochet left WWE earlier in 2024 and has since made a splash in AEW where he has currently made clear he is after Konosuke Takeshita’s International Championship.
