Real Reason Nia Jax Has Missed WWE TV
Nia Jax remains on WWE’s inactive list.
After making her full-time return to WWE in September 2023, Nia Jax has been enjoying the best run of her career. The star challenged Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Title at Elimination Chamber Perth in early 2024 before going on to win the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
That victory earned her a shot at the Women’s Title at SummerSlam and she subsequently went on to beat Bayley to claim the gold.
Jax kept hold of the title until the January 3 edition of SmackDown when Tiffany Stratton successfully cashed in her Money In The Bank contract.
Nia Jax “Not Cleared” To Wrestle
Although she lost the Women’s Championship, Jax remained at the top of the SmackDown women’s division, but that run came to an end at Elimination Chamber. At the event on March 1, the star teamed with Candice LeRae in defeat to Stratton and Trish Stratus and she hasn’t wrestled since.
According to a report from Wrestle Votes via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A, Jax currently isn’t cleared to wrestle, but the reason why remains a mystery.
“Nia Jax has been…I want to phrase this properly. Not cleared. That’s the best way I can put it. She was due to be cleared I believe two weeks ago. Don’t know if that’s happened. Obviously, she hasn’t been on TV. Don’t know if it was due to an injury or what not. I do know internally that she’s not been cleared for action, which is why she hasn’t been on TV…
I don’t know what caused her to be on the inactive list. Don’t want to speculate. Hate to do that so I just know she’s been inactive with the anticaption of coming back I believe it was back on March 22nd….I don’t know why she’s not been cleared.”
Meanwhile, in March it was reported that Asuka was expected to miss “a couple more months” of action. The former Women’s Champion hasn’t wrestled since May 2024 after a long-standing knee injury finally caught up with her.
Asuka underwent surgery later in the year, and although she’d been making good progress, WWE is reportedly being cautious with her return.
