Real Reason Why AEW Star Was Attacked On Collision
A top AEW wrestler was mysteriously attacked on Collision, and there are more details on why that happened.
After winning a big six-man tag team match on AEW Dynamite, Hologram was the target of a promo from the cocky TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher.
During the promo, Fletcher challenged Hologram to a TNT Title match on this week’s AEW Dynamite episode, which is celebrating six years of Dynamite on October 1st.
Days later, on AEW Collision, Fletcher was shown attacking Hologram in a cheap attack.
AEW’s Owner, Tony Khan, announced on social media that Hologram would be out of action until the end of the year and wished him the best in his recovery. Taking Hologram’s place in the match with Fletcher will be Orange Cassidy, who is a former AEW International Champion.
Hologram Was Injured During AEW Dynamite
In an update on what really happened, Dave Meltzer wrote in his Daily Update on F4WOnline that Hologram suffered a knee injury during the 6-man tag team match on Dynamite.
Hologram suffered a knee injury on Wednesday at the show in Pittsburgh. It was to the same knee that kept him out of action. When examined, it was worse than he expected and he will be out of the rest of the year. They shot a phantom angle where Kyle Fletcher attacked him and Clon had a part in it as well.
They were about to start the Hologram vs. Clon feud and this could mean Clon is on ice as well waiting for him to come back.
The updated lineup for AEW Dynamite on October 1st looks like this:
- Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Daniel Garcia vs. Hangman Page, Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs
- Kris Statlander & Darby Allin vs. Marina Shafir & Wheeler Yuta
- TNT Champioship: Kyle Fletcher vs. Orange Cassidy
- Jurassic Express return
- Kenny Omega & AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) & Josh Alexander)
- Toni Storm appearance
