Raw Star Apparently Sent Back To NXT
A heavily featured Raw star for much of 2022 has apparently reverted to their former gimmick back on the developmental brand of NXT.
After much build-up through vignettes that aired for weeks, Veer Mahaan arrived on the Raw brand on the Monday night show following WrestleMania 38. Mahaan soon began an impressive winning streak on the red brand, picking up wins over the likes of Rey and Dominik Mysterio as well as Mustafa Ali.
However, since the change in management in WWE that occurred in July 2022 when Vince McMahon retired to be replaced in a creative capacity by Triple H, Veer Mahaan has only had one outing on Raw, a quick win in August over an enhancement talent.
Now it looks like Mahaan may be back as part of the NXT roster and back with his former Indus Sher tag team partner, Sanga. Together Mahaan and Sanga teamed up at an NXT live event to face the Chase U duo of Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward. The team formerly known as Indus Sher picked up the win.
The team was previously managed by Malcolm Bivens – now best known as AEW’s Stokely Hathaway – in NXT before they moved up to Raw as the henchmen for former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal.
