Raquel Rodriguez Discusses History-Making Change She’d Like In WWE
Raquel Rodriguez has detailed a way she’d like to make history in WWE, but it would take a major change for it to happen.
The competition in WWE’s women’s division seems to have ramped up under the regime of Triple H, with the likes of Dakota Kai returning to the company and matches seemingly having more prominence on televised events.
However, the championship picture is not as strong as the men’s division, where there are a number of titles which couldn’t be classed as secondary for competitors to go after.
In a discussion with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston, Raquel Rodriguez has admitted she’d love it if WWE introduced some extra title belts for the women’s division, pointing out that the strong diversity in the division would help if there were more titles created.
I think that would be something so great for the women’s division especially because we have so much diversity in the women’s division. We have women from all over the world, from all over the country, from different backgrounds, different ethnicities. I think having an Intercontinental Championship, having a North American Championship for the women would be something that would be just a huge leap forward for the women’s division in wrestling in general.
Having been brought up from NXT, Raquel Rodriguez had a short run as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Aliyah. The reign last just two weeks, before being ended by Damage CTRL on the 12th September 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw.
